Aged, worn, has imperfections, is not gold, and yet carries an interesting mix of feelings I have a hard time finding the right words for.
Sweet, has history, and I wish I knew the full story of the original owner, and the journey the bracelet itself has taken until I found it.
It is quite small, has a bend in it, and will require some extra care/cleaning to bring out the original brass finish if that is what one prefers.
I don't have a exact date on it. When these and this design were produced and a popular purchase was 1940's-1970's. Due to it being brass and not using more precious metals I think later 40's into the 50's is likely.
That would have been a time when it's construction and design makes the most sense to use brass as the more affordable and easier to source option. I still can't say that with 100% certainty, but it does align time and history wise.
I do feel the need to add in, it is not recommended to put jewelry on infants. Please view this as a precious piece of history to collect and enjoy having, but not with intent to be worn by an infant or small child.
I don't know the exact circumference, but it measures at 1 and 1/2" inches in width.
